Benji's 2nd birthday was Aug. 7th. I had wanted to make a fancy birthday cake for him and invite some friends over. What really happened was this...I made a bear cake that was quite cute. But I didn't have enough powdered sugar for the frosting, so I used up what I did have and frosted the front of the cake. It looked adorable! But I was over exhausted from actually making the cake (and having a newborn, by the way) to actually have a celebration. After we sang Happy Birthday I told the kids they could just eat the whole cake. Yes, the whole cake. Kiersley dug in and ripped off an ear and began happily munching while Benji Bear started crying because K was eating the ear. As you can see, they ended up eating the head off and then did a tap dance on the rest of the cake.
